Who should take this program?
Are you a healthcare professional looking to take the next step in the learning continuum? This program is designed to help you better understand the causes, mechanisms and consequences of obesity while providing you with the necessary tools and strategies to approach, assess and support patients with obesity.
Each module within the Advanced Obesity Management Program has been individually accredited and up to 16 Mainpro-M1 credits (soon tobe Mainpro+) are available. The program is expected to take participants approximately 16-20 hours to complete, depending on your pace. Program certificates are offered once all module requirements are completed.
The modules meet the accreditation criteria of The College of Family Physicians of Canada for Mainpro-M1 Credits, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at http://www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and is approved by the Division of Continuing Professional Development, University of Manitoba. Participants should only claim credit for the actual number of hours attended.
