What: A practical, interdisciplinary training session for primary care
clinicians with an interest in enhancing the weight management care they
provide to children and youth (and their families) with obesity.
When: April 2 - 4, 2012

Who: Any primary care clinician - (e.g., dietitians, nurses,
psychologists, physicians, kinesiologists, physical therapists,
occupational therapists, and social workers)
Learning Objectives:
To enhance health care professionals’ knowledge, skill, and competence in:
- Behavioral, physiological, psychosocial, and sociocultural factors that impact pediatric obesity
- Clinical assessment methods in pediatric obesity
- Evidence-based intervention strategies for managing pediatric obesity
- Practical tips and tools that can be integrated into everyday practice
