5th Annual Obesity Summer Boot Camp: Apply Now!
Building on the overwhelming success of the first four annual Canadian Obesity Network/Laval University Obesity Summer Boot Camps, CON-RCO is pleased to announce that the fifth installment will take place from August 1-9, 2010.
This year, we expect another great response from the obesity community – the first four events received more than 250 applications each from obesity students, young researchers, clinical fellows, clinical researchers and young health professionals.
The 5th Obesity Summer Boot Camp is open to 24 MSc/PhD students, young researchers, clinical fellows, clinical researchers and young health professionals in their last year, or within five years of, completing their training. The boot camp will cover all aspects of obesity, ranging from epidemiology and public health to cell biology, energy regulation, clinical management and health policy.
IMPORTANT UPDATE (March 30, 2010)
CON-RCO and Laval University have made several program changes that are effective immediately.
* The deadline for applying to this program has been extended to April 6, 2010.
* There will be limited travel awards available for full-time students. All applicants will be required to submit a revised application form and a new travel cost estimate form.
New professionals with a strong ongoing interest in obesity research are also welcome to apply, but will be charged a $800 registration fee that will cover tuition, conference materials, accommodation, meals, and social events.
Space is limited. Application deadline: Friday, April 2, 2010.
