PROFILE: I completed my PhD at the University of Ottawa (Population Health), my master’s at Queen’s University in kinesiology and epidemiology, and graduated from Acadia University with a double major in biology and kinesiology. I am a Certified Exercise Physiologist with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, a Clinical Exercise Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine and a Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine/National Physical Activity Society. I am currently a Post Doctoral Fellow with the Division of Prevention and Rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa Heart Institue. I have been involved with CON for many years including the Chair of the University of Ottawa Chapter, and member of the CON SNP National Executive (2015-2016 - Science Committee Representative, 2016-2017 - Communications Director). When I'm not encouraging people to live healthy active lives, I try to stay active myself (especially outdoors!), hang out with Roxy the dog (a lovable puggle), and travel as much as I can. You can find me on Twitter @AllanaLeBlanc
