PROFILE: Dr. Forhan is an assistant professor, Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Alberta. She is the lead of the Bariatric Care and Rehabilitation Research Group which aims to reduce the disability experienced by persons living with obesity and to improve the quality of health care and rehabilitation outcomes in patients with obesity. Dr. Forhan is an occupational therapist with more than 25 years of clinical experience in the areas of mental health, physical rehabilitation and chronic disease management, including obesity. She is a graduate of the 2007 CON Summer Obesity Boot Camp and was a founding member of the Canadian Obesity Network.
