Developed by the Canadian Obesity Network (CON) in collaboration with mdBriefCase Group Inc., this in-depth, evidence-based program is designed for healthcare professionals who understand basic obesity principles and want to learn more.

Obesity Summer School - July - Location TBA

Spend a week in the Canadian Rockies learning about interdisciplinary obesity research and practice from leading national and international obesity experts. It’s an essential course for obesity researchers and health sciences students who are looking to equip themselves with the best knowledge, skills and tools to deal with obesity. Obesity Management Certificate for Post-Graduates

This is a one day course offered by CON and the University of Alberta - Health Sciences and Education Research Commons. It is an intensive education program that emphasizes practical aspects of obesity management. Please see attached documents with program outline and details.

This conference brings together an interdisciplinary group of professionals working in the field of childhood and adolescent obesity. The 7th conference will focus on a range of topics that impact the prevention and treatment of obesity beyond the clinic setting, considering the broader social and environmental factors that influence the health of children, adolescents, and families. This multi-theme meeting will explore the role that health care professionals can play in promoting healthy strategies within the greater community to enhance the well-being of children and adolescents living with obesity. Specifically, the conference will showcase examples of successful collaborations that span diverse settings, including the health care system, government, schools, and community at-large.

9th Learning Retreat for Dietitians, October 25-26th, 2018 in Toronto, ON

Registration NOW OPEN! This event sells out quickly and for the FIRST time a few spaces will be reserved on a first come first served basis for other allied health professionals to attend. The Learning Retreat on the Principles and Practice of Interdisciplinary Obesity Management for Dietitians. Successful completion of this program also qualifies dietitians for the education component for the Certified Bariatric Educator (CBE) designation.
