We hope you had a wonderful and refreshing break over the holidays and are ready for the year ahead.
2015 was a great year for CON-SNP. Many of our chapters, including CON-SNP York, Manitoba, Toronto, Western and others put on great talks and events. In the past few months we have had exciting blog posts contributed on a variety of themes including weight stigma, sleep, and technology.
CON-SNP is always looking for bloggers. Perhaps this year will be your year to write for our blog! Don't be shy, check out our style guide for more information. This month, the CON-SNP blog topic is "Food" with great posts from Allison Barnett on functional foods, and Alexa Ferdinands on pre- and post-exercise nutrition.
As we set our sights on the coming year, we are excited about many upcoming events including the 2016 Pedometer challenge. In addition, the Canadian Obesity Network is co-hosting the upcoming International Congress on Obesity, in Vancouver BC, May 1st-4th. We hope to see you there!
The Canadian Obesity Network is the largest obesity network in the world with over 11,000 members, nearly 1200 of which are students and new professionals. CON-SNP has over 20 active chapters and we would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication.
Let's have a great 2016!
