Educational Program
The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Complications of Obesity educational program has been written by an expert multidisciplinary panel and will be disseminated by the Canadian Obesity Network. This educational program is intended for use by family physicians, cardiologists, endocrinologists and other specialists interested in current clinical practice related to patients with obesity and cardiac/metabolic complications.
The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Complications of Obesity educational program is available as both a web and CD-ROM resource. The program is comprised of twelve comprehensive chapters which include text, PowerPoint slides, case studies and animations. In addition, the program includes a series of Comprehensive Slide Sets that cater specifically to the family physician, cardiologist and endocrinologist for use in accredited small group learning workshops.
This program is approved for independent learning under Section 3 accreditation as well as group learning under Section 1 accreditation with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Furthermore, this program is approved for group learning for family physicians under Mainpro-M1 accreditation with The College of Family Physicians of Canada.
